The following links point to the official sites of the Frost developers. There is a site on the internet, on Freenet 0.7 and on Freenet 0.5.
Frost can run on Freenet 0.5 or Freenet 0.7. If you run Freenet 0.5 and Freenet 0.7 you must use one Frost installation for each network. During the first startup of Frost you are asked on what network you want Frost to run.

Frost on Freenet 0.7

Frost is a filesharing and message board application for Freenet. It should get installed with Freenet 0.7 automatically if you used the standard Freenet installers. You should always use the latest version of Frost, check the links at the end of the page to do so.

To run Frost on Linux from the commandline, change to your Freenet install directory, then change to the frost subdirectory. Then type:

sh ./frost.sh &

or alternatively, make frost.sh executable first (you only need to do this once) then you don't have to keep typing the sh at the beginning:

chmod +x ./frost.sh
./frost.sh &

F.A.Q.

How do I find new boards?
When fetching new messages, Frost will look to see if there are any boards attached to the message. If it finds any, they will be added to the Known Boards List.
