Debian

We have an official debian-staging repository on Github. Masayuki Hatta and infinity0 (more recently) have worked on it. We do not yet have an auto-build official repository, but we will.

General strategy

Freenet needs to be constantly updated (for the time being). It can't be frozen in time for years, which is what would be required if it was part of the official debian release. This is not a problem for semi-unofficial/still in progress/bleeding edge distros and repos.
